Fitness Bio -

Born and raised in British Columbia, Ashley was a professional dancer in Vancouver BC, a choreographer for Wyndham Resorts in Cozumel, Mexico, and a featured performer for Carnival Cruise Lines.  Ashley was the world’s first Aqua Zumba® Jammer (ZJ) and spent three years working as a ZJ Coach & Mentor for Choreo, Rhythm and Aqua Zumba® ZJs. She is an Aquatic Training Specialist for the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA) and works full time as AEA’s Education Manager. In 2023, Ashley was awarded Aquatic Fitness Professional of the Year at the International Aquatic Fitness & Therapy Conference Global Awards. Now living in Las Vegas, Ashley travels the continent presenting a variety of continuing education workshops for fitness instructors.

Ballet Bio -

Ms. Ashley is a registered teacher for the Royal Academy of Dance and is a graduate of the Certificate in Ballet Teaching Studies programme. As a lead teacher at Rachel’s Ballet in the Bay Area, California for five year, Ashley had the opportunity to enter students into RAD ballet exams from Pre-Ballet to Advanced Vocational Levels. She has coached students for many prestigious competitions including the Youth America Grand Prix and RAD Dance Challenge. Ashley’s professional background includes dancing at the Source Dance Company in Vancouver, BC, as a choreographer for Wyndham Cozumel Resort & Spa in Mexico, and as a featured performer and dance captain for Carnival Cruise Lines. She has had the opportunity to perform and study dance all over the coast of North America, including extensive training at Broadway Dance Center in New York City and Harbour Dance Center in Vancouver, BC. She is well versed in many genres of dance including ballet, tap, jazz, hip hop, lyrical, modern, musical theatre, contemporary and Latin rhythms.

In 2021, Ashley decided she wanted to pursue RAD examinations and received the following:

Grade 7 (2021): Distinction

Grade 8 (2022): High Distinction

Discovering Repertoire - Level II - Spanish Variation from Coppelia Exam (2023): High Distinction

Ashley is also a certified Progressing Ballet Technique Teacher (Levels 1 & 2) and offers this class weekly in Las Vegas at Sole Intensity Dance Academy and sub adult ballet classes at Milenium Dance Complex and the Rock Center for Dance.

In 2023, Ashley also had the honor to teach and adjudicate at the International Adult Ballet Festival in Miami, Florida.
